Broadcasters held valuable nationwide spectrum and infrastructure but no practical way to turn it into a commercial data-delivery business. Doing so required a platform capable of coordinating cloud services, broadcast networks, broadband systems, customer applications, and edge devices — a system with no established industry precedent.

Joined Sinclair Broadcast Group as Principal Product & Technical Architect to define the platform, then moved into the Global CTO role at CAST.ERA as the initiative became a standalone commercial platform.

Defined the product architecture, service boundaries, APIs, integration patterns, and deployment model for a cloud-native, distributed datacasting platform. Led the engineering organization through architecture, build, and commercial rollout, and represented the platform in industry forums, including a technical paper presented at NAB 2024.

Coordinating a system spanning cloud, broadcast, broadband, and edge-device domains, with cross-functional and multi-vendor engineering teams across the U.S. and Asia — building an architecture with no direct precedent to draw from.

A mission-critical, multi-tenant SaaS platform handling medical claims adjudication, reimbursement, and pricing needed architectural improvements to meet growing performance and scale demands — without disrupting a system already in live client use.

Designed core backend services, pricing engines, and configuration-driven processing modules supporting complex healthcare rules, and led re-architecture initiatives targeting throughput and scalability. Served as the technical escalation point for complex production issues and root-cause analysis.

Translating regulatory-driven business rules into scalable system design, on a live production system with real client dependency, in close coordination with product leadership and healthcare subject-matter experts.

Manufacturing operations supporting more than $1B in annual revenue needed better control systems, yield optimization, and defect analytics — visibility manufacturing floors didn't yet have.
